Carolyn K. Kinney PhD, AHN-BC, RN

Carolyn Kinney received her BSN, MA, and PhD degrees from the University of Iowa, and is a board-certified Advanced Holistic Nurse. She served as a nursing professor at the University of Iowa, University of Michigan, University of Texas at Austin, and University of Texas at Galveston.

Since 1980, Dr. Kinney has provided psycho-spiritual and heart-based therapy based on the nursing theory Modeling and Role-Modeling. Her nursing career is devoted to integrating holistic principles and healing perspectives into mainstream healthcare.

Carolyn is available for individual, group, and family counseling sessions addressing intergenerational life transition needs. She offers consultation services and anticipatory guidance responsive to the holistic needs (mind, body, and spirit) of individuals and families facing multifaceted decisions about the care of aging family members.
